Shipping Tips

  • USPS Flat Rate Boxes come in various sizes are FREE and can be delivered to your door along with label pouches (Custom Declaration Pouches). *Please note- many sizes of the boxes come in packs of 10 or 25. Scheduled Pick-ups from USPS are also available- either with normal mail service or at a specified time.

  • Shipping Labels can be printed from the USPS website on your home printer. When creating your Shipping Label, make sure you select “I am shipping Flat Rate” and correctly select your box size. Box Sizes/Names can be found on the box. If you do not use label pouches- paper labels need to be properly taped to withstand weather conditions.

  • Alternatively, your nearest USPS Post Office will have single boxes and bubble mailers available, and an employee can create & print your label.

  • If your package is sealed & labeled- it can be dropped off in any mail box or “Blue Boxes” (outside all USPS buildings and various locations). Please note the pick-up times and ensure your entry is being received before deadline.

  • We will need YOUR NAME, YOUR RECIPE, & any receipts of your purchases for ingredients in your recipe. You can also email receipts HERE.

  • MOST FedEx or UPS locations can PACK & SHIP your package for you. Fees may be applicable depending on location, packing needs, etc. Receipts from shipping purchases are not necessary for submissions.

  • Please make sure your jars are properly sanitized and sealed before shipping. Bubble wrap or other filler materials protect your jars during shipping. Broken seals or jars will not be tasted or judged. Competitors are responsible for ensuring their jars arrive safely. If jars are broken or unsealed, the competitor will be notified and can send another submission before deadline to be eligible in competition.

  • After preparing and sealing your jars, add a label to your jar or make sure any necessary details are clear and visible.
